Lately I’ve been growing tired of my usual breakfast with oats, almonds, etc.
I’ve been experimenting with breakfast smoothies, which I find is a quick and easy way to begin the day. Even my boyfriend enjoys them 🙂
This mornings smoothie was made with: (I doubled the portion as we’re 2)
2 tbsp (10g) Amino-complex whey protein powder
A handful of frozen strawberries or berries
2 tbsp chia seeds
100 ml almond milk or other liquid
1.5 tbsp elderflower cordial for a fresh twist
Blend until a smooth mixture and enjoy the goodness!
I like to use this protein as it comes from milk and is 77% protein, 6% fat and 6,2% carbohydrates.
It’s also good for making protein pancakes or when baking protein cakes.
